Product RAVE: StriVectin-SD™ Instant Retexturizing Scrub

i'm a very obsessive loyal Sephora customer. VIB status. i love makeup and skincare. i heard wonderful things about StriVectin-SD™ Instant Retexturizing Scrub and thought i'd give it a try.

i'm amazed! this product i've used more than one week, faithfully! the website tells you what it does, better than I, but it will make your face feel like a baby's bottom. It does smell like toothpaste, but it's freaking amazing! I have sensitive acne prone skin and it has been an amazing addition to my retin-a, glycolic and tca peels. i have oily skin and used it every 2 days (instead of three as suggested, because if you use it more it works quicker....right??) and I really should have followed instructions, it really dried out my skin.  3.3 oz around $30 retail, but I'm sure you can search for the best deals online!

What is it?
A physical exfoliating scrub that cleanses and instantly retexturizes skin. Key ingredients provide physical exfoliation while calming and soothing the skin, priming it for maximum absorption of StriVectin® treatment products.
What does it do?
Removes surface impurities and dry skin cells to promote greater luminosity, smoothing of rough areas and improvements in skin texture and tone. See results in your mirror immediately and over time.
Day 1: Dry skin cells exfoliating; roughness smoothing
Bi-weekly Use: Tone and texture evening; dullness clearing.
How does it work?
We engineered this formula with our powerful, patented NIA-114™. Discovered in skin cancer prevention research to help rebuild skin layers, NIA-114™ results are documented in multiple global patents and years of clinical studies. StriVectin’s Instant Retexturizing Scrub, with NIA-114™ encapsulated in spherical jojoba beads, is clinically proven to smooth skin and improve texture with regular, twice a week use.

happy washing!

being present....oh how I wish i was a reeferette!

i turned 36 last week. this hasn't been the best year, but we went on a nice long weekend to see my most favorite musician . we haven't missed a concert at Blossom, but jimmy skipped blossom this year....and for anyone who is a parrot head knows "a labor day weekend show' will always be a blast.

i remember being 15 and my mom telling me she was taking me to a concert with her friends. i remember thinking "oh great, an old people concert" (sorry, ma!) but remember it like it was yesterday and it's been 17 years. i remember being at peace, and in the moment.

when jimmy took the stage last weekend, i cried. during the show , my hubs saw how happy and relaxed i was and told me it almost made him cry. literally. who cries at a BUFFETT concert?? there's something so peaceful and amazing about his presence. i suppose that's why his following is as large as it is. the camaraderie between parrot heads is just something you don't "get" until you experience it.

my resolution for my 36th year is to continue to be present in life. not worry about what my email box is telling me or the decisions i have to make at work. focus on the good stuff, the stuff that makes me smile in my soul. jimmy is better than yoga :)

FINS UP :)

here he is in manassas, va performing crosby stills "southern cross" :) ....along with 35,000 of his closest friends :)
