dave got a promotion last month and i'm so proud of him it hurts.
i will continue to do the 'things i'm thankful for' posts, just starting a little late this month.

i am thankful for my family. yesterday was the 8th birthday of my nephew, sam.
sam is a brilliant sweet child. 8 years ago yesterday, i will never forget seeing him and holding him for the first time. he and his sisters are so special to me. they are just wonderful children and really, their parents deserve so much of that credit. they are excellent parents. beyond excellent, really. they allow their children to be who they are, nourish them, have fun with them, teach them, love them. it's been an amazing thing to watch and learn that my twin-cousin, jenn is one of the best mama's on the planet (just ask sam about planets!)
jenn is my other "i'm thankful for today" (and everyday). unconditional love, my first friend. just like the photo on my piano says "cousins from the start, friends from the heart". that's an understatement to the highest degree. we've grown, and somehow become 30- somethings, but somehow i'm still older than her! *growl*.these above reasons are what i'm extra thankful for today.

ReplyDeleteLove you, too, Bree! I know I've said it before, but I think everyday of how much you and my sweet Lily are alike. She loves PINK, all things girly, sparkles, makeup, shoes, glitter, PINK. She also loves animals and is tied with you as the sweetest people ever!!! She is always thinking of others, trying to help, offer support, kind words and she's crazy generous. She also loves to eat MEAT - Steak, ribs, wings... :) I just love it. It feels like you are in our home all the time. :)
